Help me decide which cover to use for my new contemporary novel, Deal Breakers! (Spring 2015 release) Thanks again to OMK Creations for such great choices!
I feel that the Pink is too much pink with the background, works and the female all in pink. It comes across as a more stereotypical girly book, and I think you would reach more males with the background being blue. I know quite a few men that read romance novels, but I have never seen a pink book in their hand.
The blue cover still has a softness and feminine feel to it. The background woods don't feel washed out on the edges and in an odd color but more natural because wood in a distance can seem blue. And the models seem to stand out more in contrast than melding in with the pink cover.
I think you will capture both genders attention more with the blue cover than the pink. I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but a cover is what draws your attention and the more attention you receive the more people will be going into the book to find out more about it, finding it interesting and then purchasing.
